Review on Emma Hardie’s amazing face Moringa Cleansing Balm 💓

Firstly, this product has been raved about by so many and there’s a reason for it! This is the second time I’ve purchased this product and I’m about to tell you all why 🥰! P.s. snap it up here !

The Brand Behind The Product

Emma Hardie products are created in the U.K. using natural, cruelty free products. The company uses natural botanicals to help skin “look younger, naturally”. Apart from this particular balm which contains beeswax 😦 , all their products are vegan friendly!

What is ‘Moringa’?

Moringa Seed comes from the Moringa tree. It has been referred to as ‘the tree that never dies’ and ‘the miracle tree’. Isn’t that cute?! 💕 The plant itself can benefit our health, wellbeing and skin and women in Africa and India (where it grows) eat the plant to help aid a radiant, glowing complexion. If that doesn’t grab your attention, the seed has 7x more vitamin C than an orange, 3x more Potassium than a banana, 4x more Calcium than milk and 4x times more vitamin A than a carrot!

So, what’s my opinion?

The cleansing balm has a glorious texture – it literally melts like butter. Due to it being an oil based cleanser, you can’t remove the product using water – as we know oil and water just don’t mix! But the product does come with a Muslin cleaning cloth – this coupled with the luxurious tub is what actually made me buy the product in the first place.

And the verdict? Well it removes my make up pretty well so I never use make up wipes (ew) and usually I don’t even need to go for another cleanser after.

Ingredients include rose oil, vitamin E, orange and jasmine oils which gives this balm not only wonderful scent (sorry if you’re not into botanicals), but also keeps the skin looking and feeling smooth, plump and fresh. The smell is heavenly – gives me serious spa vibes so I always look forward to cleansing my skin!

Speaking of spa vibes, it doubles up as a super hydrating mask (pre steam or shower, or overnight) and can used for a facial 💆🏽‍♀️. I’ve used the balm to soothe dry skin…. but paw paw is my saviour for this! Hehe

The price tag

Soo, when I first bought this product I was sceptical as I never usually buy into anything over £30. It is priced at £47 however it does last!! You only really need a “hazelnut” amount each time. And as mentioned it comes with the cleaning cloth which has two sides – textured side for buffing and the smooth side to remove any residue. To clean the cloth, I usually just chuck it in with all my towels and then hang it up to dry.

Who will like this?

The product is good for all skin types. However it is best used on drier skin types due to it being an oil based cleanser.

Are there any downsides?

Unfortunately it’s the only product by EH which is not vegan friendly as contains a small amount of beeswax.

I’ve also found that during the warmer months due to its soft texture, the balm melts easily and it may seep out of its packaging. This happened to me as I really didn’t see this ☀️ weather hitting us up in the UK. But perhaps I need to store it in the fridge! Alsoooo, as I have mainly dry to combination skin, I can see that this product may not sit well with oily skin types simply because it is fairly dense and oily. Although the cloth really does capture all of that when you wipe it off without drying out the skin.

I will not be giving this product up any time soon – I love it! I’m interested in finding other good oil based cleansers – what do you guys use? Hit me up🧡
